Films

These animated films were a kind of apprenticeship for me. I learned how to tell a story, how to exploit the materials, and how to solve things that went wrong. I am grateful to the NFB who initially took me on under an experimental budget and to all the fabulous people I got to work with. Left, a still image from “Distant Islands”.

In 2015, I was awarded a BC Arts Council Grant to (re)learn the basics of animation using digital means. This little film became part of my work on weather.
